TB-50 on DS Audion uusi putkilla toteutettu EQ DS Audion optical cartridge-äänirasioille. Hybrid-rakenne – etuaste ja korjaus tehdään solid-state asteilla ja antoaste putkilla. Käytössä samat ECC82 (12AU7) putket kuin huippumallissa TB-100. Sävyjä, dynamiikkaa ja harmonista täyteläisyyttä.

The TB-50 employs a hybrid architecture in which the amplification circuit, including RIAA equalization, is implemented in solid-state circuitry, while the final output stage passes through a vacuum tube buffer. This combination delivers ideal signal amplification through solid-state design, together with the rich harmonic expression that only vacuum tubes can provide. The TB-50 uses the same ECC82 (12AU7) tubes as our flagship TB-100, bringing the world of DS Audio tube sound to a broader range of music lovers.

A dedicated duct structure surrounds the vacuum tubes, drawing fresh air from outside the chassis and efficiently venting the heat generated by the tubes. This thermal management keeps the internal temperature within an optimal range, stabilizing the operating point of the tubes and ensuring consistent sound quality even during extended listening sessions.

For both power delivery to the cartridge and transmission of the music signal, the TB-50 employs a current-drive and current-transmission approach that is inherently less susceptible to the influence of phono cables and contact points. Compared with conventional voltage transmission, this approach minimizes the impact of cable length and connector quality, achieving the ideal cartridge connection that DS Audio has long advocated and drawing out the full potential of the optical cartridge.

LED illumination positioned beneath each vacuum tube can be adjusted to suit the room or listening mood. A continuously variable control on the rear panel allows precise dimming, combining functional visibility with refined aesthetic presence.
